With a window to the village and a heart for food

With fish and game from Øyerfjellet as well as berries and vegetables from the village, we want to offer new and exciting dining experiences at the top of the mountain.

Our desire and goal is to create a meeting place at the top of Hafjell for all ski enthusiasts of all ages, whether you ski or walk. With us, you can enjoy good home-cooked food either in the ski restaurant, lounge or out on the terrace. Or maybe you just want to relax with a real homemade cocoa in one of our sofas.

You’ll find us just below the Hafjelltoppen summit at around 1,000 meters above sea level, just south of the new 6-seater express lift and next to Hafjelløypa (trail no. 8). The view from here is spectacular, hence the name Vidsyn. The entire front of the restaurant is made of floor-to-ceiling glass so that everyone can enjoy the magnificent view.

It’s easy to get to Vidsyn even without cross-country or downhill skiing. From the parking lot at Gaiastova, just follow the road up and north about 900m. Alternatively, from the large parking lot at Hunderseterveien, which is somewhat longer to walk.

We open the restaurant for the 2023/2024 season on November 25.

03/12 – 02/02: 10:30 – 16:00

Throughout the year, we invite you to various theme dinners and events. Click on the different events to see the menu.

Information about companies

We are happy to customize packages with separate menus for larger closed parties, whether it’s an anniversary, wedding or birthday celebration, we can help you with any occasion and tailor the event exactly as you want it. We have rooms for both large and small events.

We can accommodate 150 people in the main restaurant and 50 people in the lounge. We also have a Chambre separee with room for 10 people.

There is no parking at the restaurant. We recommend those arriving by car to park either in the large parking lot at Gaiastova (about 1.2km) or at Ilsetra (about 1.5km) and walk over.
